They've taken away sides they used to have. It seems like it's potato....or a potato....but my steak is always on point. Never had a bad steak here. We also like their onion blossom appetizer, our family likes it better than Texas Roadhouse or Outback because Coltons is not greasy! Our servers are usually attentive. It's a casual steakhouse, with good food, in a town that doesn't have a lot of choices! My husband had the salmon and sweet potato and he really enjoyed both. His salmon was supposed to be blackened and he said it wasn't as flavorful as it should have been, but it was still good and cooked appropriately.
Varied food options, and nice atmosphere. Burgers and country fried steak were enjoyed by our group. The Colton's Red is worth a try if you are looking for a good beer. Conveniently located within walking distance of 3 local hotels. Friendly, and courteous staff.
We were seated quickly during dinner time and we received our menus quickly. The appetizer portions are huge and the onion tanglers were very yummy. I was full when our meal came out and thought to get the country fried steak (apparently a favorite) but was sorely disappointed. It was... Greasy and the breading lacked flavor. The gravy was only so so. Other than that, I had a great time. Didn't get to try it, but the Mac and cheese looked heavenly.
Rib and rib sauce was very good! Brought out a gluten free menu when we asked for it. They also do a 10% discount if you show your room key from the Hampton Inn!
I will never eat here again. Worst steak Ive ever had. Raw. We asked for medium rare. When my husband cut into it, there were no juices, at all, nothing. Flipped it over, it was completely raw. Disgusting. Dont even make sense. The salad was good though. They didnt even care if we were happy or not.
